There's no doubt that down south the Woodcroft Taven has established itself as a great place for dining out and family entertainment. It's a friendly and relaxed atmosphere here that has made the Woodcroft Tavern a real stand out for any occassion. Thinking of celebrating a birthday, engagement, wedding anniversary or perhaps a special night out then this is just the place to be. Why? Well for a start there is all that great food. You see the Woodcroft Tavern specializes in buffett style dining and boy oh boy is there a huge selection. I've said it before when reviewing the Woodcroft Tavern, if you can't get a good meal at the buffet here, then you are in big trouble. Take the asian section. Wow, all that great food laid out fresh in those sparkling Woks. Just one good feed here has would pay for your night out going by the prices most Asian restaurants charge for a main. That still leaves all that hot food to choose from which includes those traditional roast items and fresh hot vegetables plus the cold cuts, salads and fresh breads before you head off to the dessert section. Now if you have children, then the Woodcroft is a great place for a family dinner or lunch because the kids won't feel left out. Theres all the regular food to choose from plus pizza and chips. After you've finished with all that, it is time to hit their dessert section where you'll think your in heaven. Yummy Pavalova, assorted small cakes, fresh soft serve, all sorts of sprinkles and toppings. Heck you can even have an icecrean in a cone here, now that brings back childhood memories.

If your an adult, the Woodcroft has a great selection of beer and wines to choose from at very reasonable prices. A great bonus is that the kids can get a bottomless soft drink here which is a great cost saver. For adults there is plenty to do if you like a flutter or just want to relax in the lounge. The Woodcroft has all the facilities for Pokies, TAB and the Lotteries Commission. Full Sky channel broadcasts of horse, harness and dog racing is shown daily. Everything is covered here. SPECIAL OCCASSIONS...... Don't forget that if you want to have a special night out the Woodcroft caters for large groups. I recently spent Xmas Day there with the staff and management and I wouldn't

bother cooking Xmas dinner again. The food was fabulous and many people told me they were regulars because there was no better value anywhere down south. For the price it was pointless even considering doing it yourself and the kids had a great time when SANTA made a visit. Now you can't get that at home.
