On The Road

There are many pleasures in life but one that always stands out is the purchase of a new car. Its always a big step and one which requires careful consideration. There are many variables in chosing just the right car for the right situation. It may be economy. It may be size. It may be power. It may just be a choice based on popularity in the current market. Whatever may happen remember that once you have bought and paid for a new vehicle if it's the right choice then you will have many happy motoring miles but if it's purchased for the wrong reason then you have only two choices. Keep it and be stuck with something you won't enjoy driving or sell it and get it right [hopefully] the next time. In my case the choice was to move up to something bigger or get a later [newer] version of the vehicle I had been driving for the previous three years. In the end after testing other vehicles I ended up back at the same dealership where I had purchased my previous Nissan vehicle, a Pulsar Plus Hatch from. So what made it the right purchase for me and if your in the market for a mid-sized passenger vehicle why would you consider a new Nissan Pulsar Plus Special. Well let's examine a few reasons which influence all buyers and see if the Nissan Pulsar meets the buying criteria many people consider are most important.
The biggest consideration is size. What size vehicle do I need. Will it be big enough for a growing family. What do I want to get in the vehicle. In general terms the Nissan Pulsar will fit many needs. Now let me say that I am talking passenger needs here. If you're a single person then the Nissan Pulsar will have a ton of room. If you're a young couple the Nissan Pulsar will have a ton of room. If you're thinkiing of the nippers or a new addition to the family then the Nissan Pulsar is fine. Once you have established the size of the vehicle you need then the next consideration is of course the cost of the vehicle. The Nissan Pulsar is certainly attractively priced. Under $20K for the 1.6 litre sedan puts it well within most buyers reach. Next on the list is
performance and economy. Having had both the 1.6 and the 1.8 models I can assure you that the Nissan Pulsar is revved up and a little beauty when it comes to getting around in either city traffic or out on the highway. Both versions perform well with either an auto transmission or a regular 5 speed gear box. My preference has always been to the gear shift but the choice is that of the individual buyer. There is also the added cost of having an auto transmission. It may or may not add to the resale value of your car when it comes time to trade-in. In the economy stakes the Nissan Pulsar does well. I can tell you that running a 1.6 Hatch in "Moody Blue" for three years was just a joy for my wallet. I prefer to talk in km per litre achieving the following figures. City cycle 14.2 or 7.04l per 100 km and Country Cycle 19.8 or 5.05l per 100km. For those who talk miles per gallon that equates to 38mpg and 53mpg in the old language. In just over three years I travelled some 88,900 km and except for regular services the motor never had a spanner on it. I replaced the front disc pads which still had 40% "meat" on them. In fact, when I decided to sell it I had offers coming out of the woodwork but I traded it in and received a terrific changeover price. But what about looks you are thinking. Looks certainly play a big part too.
The Nissan Pulsar does well in the looks stakes. It is stylish, sleek, looks as though it means business and the shape is efficiently aero-dynamic. Step up to the Plus Special Edition and you can add a rear spoiler and mag wheels which gives the vehicle a decidedly sporty look or classy look which ever way you choose to see the vehicle. There is enough chrome to give it real sparkle in the sun and if you decide to add tinted windows you have a sexy looking little beast. So which model did I choose? The Nissan Pulsar Plus Special Edition ST1.8 [ with tinted windows and speed alert as options]. It comes complete with 18 channel radio/cd with 4 speakers, remote boot & petrol cap control, rear spoiler, mag wheels, power mirrors, mats plus
height adjustable drivers seat, keyless entry and drivers side air bag. That really does represent real value when it comes to justifying your purchase but there's more and the best way to find out everything about the value packed Pulsar is on the Nissan website which can be accessed by clicking on the logo below. Where did I purchase my new Nissan vehicle from? The same dealer I purchased my first Pulsar Plus from, Main North Nissan. There was no hassling in the deal, they looked after me price-wise and they found me a car in the color and options I wanted so that I was ready to go less than a week after I signed the delivery order. After six weeks of driving I can tell you I am "wrapped" in the new model with its advanced engine systems, unique lighting, the economy is running at 6.95l per 100km [city cycle] and everyone tells me what a bargain it is.
