This is the story of those chosen to to attend the American Ballet Academy, their hopes, dreams, personal demons, loves and finally for some, the achievement of their burning abmitions to be accepted into the elite of the ABA. Don't go along expecting to see big name actors or abillity but rather a competent cast and plenty of fresh faces who really deliver a most enjoyable film that runs riot with emotion. The main players of Amanda Schull, Zoë Saldana, Susan May Pratt, Ethan Stiefel, Sascha Radetsky, Ilia Kulik, Eion Bailey and Shakiem Evans combine well with stage and screen veterans Peter Gallagher, Debra Monk and Donna Murphy who are strong presences on screen. From the rigors of training to the very spectacular end dance sequences there is a feeling of warmth and empithy that makes this an engrossing movie. I found it more down to earth and realistic than "FAME" and the dance sequences far more exciting and wonderfully vibrant.
