The Story
"He heard there was wildlife in LA. He didn't know how wild"
That loveable larrikan of the aussie bush Crocodile Mick Dundee is back again and this time he's heading to Los Angeles USA. After the success of Crocodile Dundee 1 & 2 (followed by a couple of real flops) Paul Hogan has resurrected the popular bush character for another assault on the box office. This time round the worlds best crocodile hunter is leaving walkabout Creek and the aussie bush behind as he accompanise his wife to Los Angeles where daddy needs her skills on his newspaper after the loss of his former editor in a car crash.
Its a big departure from the bush but Mick sees it as a chance for Mikey to see the other side of life, after all he is the only heir to the newspaper empire run by his grandfather. No it is not as funny and yes it does not quite come up to the pace of the first two outings but its still good entertainment. Real life wife Linda Kozlowski is still there and Micks son Mikey (Serge Cockburn) gets a run (if not a little unconvincing) and while it starts out pretty good it soon settles down into a re-run of recognizable scenes & themes from many movies past. Cameo appearances by George Hamilton (yes he's still around) and Mike Tyson seem a little out of place but are in line with that cheeky style of humour Hogan is renown for.

Born October 8th 1939 in the outback town of Lightning Ridge, Paul Hogan, comedian and aussie icon, is a household name in the land down under having made his mark as an screenwriter, actor, producer, and director. His tourism catch cry "We'll put another shrimp on the barbie," soon made him famous in the USA. But it was his hit film Crocodile Dundee (1986) that saw his emergence as an international star. Dundee even earned an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay. The rugged, handsome Hogan, who once worked painting the Sydney Harbour bridge in Australia took another shot at fame with "Dundee 2" 1988. Then followed a few years in the wilderness. His other films include Almost an Angel (1990)and Lightning Jack (1994) plus he had parts in The Anzacs (1985) and The Humpty Dumpty Man (1989), which he wrote and directed. Hogan is married to his Dundee co-star Linda Kozlowski. Hogan was named Australian of the Year in 1985 and has been awarded the Order of Australia.
