In may 1939 writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane brought "Batman" to life in the "Detective Comics" issue # 27. In November of that same year in "Detective Comics" issue # 33 readers discovered the origins of the caped crusader. Over the past 66 years Batman has appeared in: DC comic books; on television in cartoons; the 1966 television series starring Adam West, Burt Ward & Alan Napier which aired till 1968 and of course the film versions the most notable of which were Tim Burton's "Batman" & "Batman Returns" starring Michael Keaton. Now a new look at an old familiar story is sure to make its mark in cinema history with the release of "Batman Begins" starring Christian Bale.
