Welcome to the Impact Internet Services web site and our coverage of this the 4th UCI Womens Tour de Snowy 2001. There is no doubt,
that this event, promoted by Phil Bates, is a concept that provides not only the opportunity to see women racing at the highest level but
to experience it in a magnificent setting that takes the riders across the roof top of Australia as the tour makes its way through the
spectacular Snowy Mountains. While the tour, now in its fourth year, attracts some of the best women cyclists in the world it should be remembered
the tour is certainly no cake walk as you can see on the race map here
As in other years all eyes will be upon the australian contingent as they compete against international riders who are household names both here and abroad. Riders like Anna(Wilson)Millward fresh from her success at this years Skilled Bay Cycling Classic. Joining her will be high calibre riders Bridget Evans, Emma Carney, Sara Carrigan, Alison Wright and Kate Bates. Jayco are once again here with a very strong team from the VIS comprising this years Australian road champion Katie Mactier, Emma Carney, Elizabeth Tadich, Jessica Amy, Naomi Williams and Helen Kelly. The internationals boast a huge lineup that includes World Champion Zinaida Stahurskaia, the dutch sensation Mirjam Melchers, the first lady of american cycling Mari Holden while the New Zealanders and Japanese are here in force too.
